three cheers for the red white & blue

Happy (almost) Fourth of July, everybody!

The 4th is one of my favorite holidays, because it means that my Birthday is only four days away!
I was almost born on the 4th of July, but I decided to cook for a little while longer.

So, in honor of one of my favorite days of the year, here are five outfit ideas, ranging from subtle to Gaga crazy, to help you celebrate America's Birthday, all with their own level on the crazy scale.

Enjoy! :)

Level 1
American Subtlety
Fourth of July Post 1
I love the look of tons of crazy bracelets layered on top of each other.

Level 2
Preppy Patriotic
Fourth of july Post 2
I love the crazy tights with the Mary Janes. I originally wanted blue heels, but it blended with the tights a bit too much, so go crazy with how YOU want to express your fashion today.

Level 3
Rocket's Red Glair
I love the McQueen scarf in this outfit. Although it's a Biritish flag, it is till red, white, and blue. You could wrap it around your head, tie it to the bag, tie it around your wrist, or just wear it like a normal scarf.

Level 4
America the Beautiful
I love this outfit sooo much! I just love the top, the shorts, the wedges, the sunglasses, the bag, the jacket, everything!

Level 5
American Dream
Now, for the craziest outfit of the all. When I saw this top, I knew I HAD to put it in a post. It's like the love child top of Katy Perry and Lady Gaga.

So, now that you've seen the options that I planned for the Fourth of July, now I want to know that YOU are going to wear on the Fourth! Comment bellow or tweet me a picture of your outfit @PaigeTalks2Much!

Trend Report 20: Color Blocking with Jeans

Hey everyone! Long time, no see!

So here it is, like promised, my re-entry back into the blogging world after a short 'blogging break'.

This post is how to use color blocking with jeans. I've had the post in my drafts for a while now, and I just can't wait to share it with you all! I had SO much fun putting these outfits together, all of the jewels and colorful jeans make me so giddy! :)

Don't be afraid to use color blocking next time you want to be bright, but tread lightly and use these tips, so you don't look like you got dressed in the dark.

I hope you all enjoy this post, and look out for more posts soon!

One way to balance out a number of colors is to go with more neutral accessories, like these nude heels and this Mulberry bag.

Another way to balance out the color blocking trend is to use the main color of the outfit in the accessories.
Using a more plaine-colored top, like this black and white striped top or this Kate 'Mouse' tee, is another way to wear color blocking without looking like a clown.

Just a quick update...

Hey everyone!

Mucho apologizes for the lack of updates these last almost two weeks. It's my last day of school tomorrow, and then three finals on Thursday and Friday, so this is just a little post to update you all, and that I am in fact still blogging, I've just been on a super-mini hiatus until school is over on Friday. Finals week is my most stressful, so I will def be better by this time next week. :)

Hope you're all having an awesome summer if you're already on break, and good luck with your finals if you haven't taken them already! :)

xoxo,
Paige :)

God Save McQueen

images courtesy of Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty, and google

So here is quite the over-due post that I have been putting off for the past week.

Last Sunday, I saw the absolutely amazing 'Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty' exhibit at the MET.

Let me start off by saying that it was an amazing experience that I will never, ever forget.

There were about a dozen rooms to the exhibit, and I suggest you go when you have time to really study the outfits. Also, I suggest you go early, so the wait is shorted, it is less crowded and you can have a better look.

There isn't much else to say on the exhibit, because you couldn't take pictures. But there was a lovely mini-gift shop at the end, where you could buy a book with all of the pictures from the show.

If you get the chance to see it, please do.

Every girl loves glitter. How can you not? Heres an over-the-top glitter outfit that I absolutely fell in LOVE with while creating. I hope you love it as much as I do. :) It's a tad crazy with the glitter, but that's what I'm all about. :)Trend: Glitter
